Just before we start – and bear with me because I know you’re excited – I just want to say that I have LOADS of competitions coming up in the run up to Christmas. Good ones too, not ‘win a box of teabags’ or anything like that. I’ve got a Fire tablet, a MASSIVE Christmas essentials pack – all sorts. To make sure you don’t miss them, you may want to sign up for my updates, if you haven’t already.
Just saying. I don’t want you to get left behind or anything. Pop your email address in here and don’t forget to confirm your subscription when you get the email:
Good, let’s crack on.
Smyths are one of the big names in toys. I’m sure you’ve heard of them – I’ve certainly been in their shops. It’s a proper toytastic ‘accidentally lose your children because you’re looking at the LEGO’ type of toy shop.
Smyths have recently released their pick of the top toys for Christmas, and as you can imagine, LEGO features highly. This year it’s all about the LEGO Dimensions, so the list includes several of the starter packs for various games consoles. I’m a bit old school when it comes to LEGO, and most of my creations as a child involved one of those green base boards and a box of 2 x 4 bricks. If that’s you, then LEGO Dimensions will blow your mind.
There are some classics on the list, like the tandem stroller and Barbie wedding set, and some more contemporary stuff too. I have to admit that although I see them mentioned about once every three seconds on Facebook, I’m not entirely sure what Shopkins are. Apparently they are popular though – the Shopkins Shoppies Poppettes Popcorn Stop Playset has made the Smyths top toy list at least.
(Try saying that after a festive glass of sherry or two.)
Win £100 to spend at Smyths!
So Smyths got in touch to ask if I fancied writing about this Christmas list. (I just did, did you notice?)
‘We can offer you some vouchers as a thank you!’ they said.
‘Well that’s kind,’ I said, ‘but I reckon my readers would like the vouchers more, so I will give them away instead!’
Because that’s just the kind of gal I am. You’re welcome.
To enter, all you have to do is have a look at the Smyths top Christmas toy list and leave a comment to let me know which item is your favourite. (This isn’t what you have to spend you vouchers on – you can use them for anything – it’s just to whet your appetite.)
Register your comment in the Rafflecopter widget below, and complete as many of the bonus entries as possible. The more you can do, the higher your chances of winning! (Note: gift cards aren’t redeemable online – you will need visit a store.) The competition will close at midnight on Monday 21st November, 2016. Entries are open to UK residents only and a winner will be chosen at random and notified by email with seven days of the closing date.
Disclosure – Smyths gave me these vouchers in return for talking about their Christmas list and now I’m giving them away to you. Not sure what the official protocol for that is, but now you’re clear at least, and that’s the main thing :-) Gift image – Isara Kaenla/shutterstock.
