Competition – win a pair of Hi-Tec walking boots

I’ve gone a bit competition crazy lately. I never planned to be one of those blogs that is just about freebies, and I promise I’m not going to spam you too often with rubbish competitions for things like sachets of coffee or a free packet of chewing gum every time you tweet a million times for me, it’s just that people keep offering me genuinely nice things to give away.

Sorry about that.

(It’s a tough life for you isn’t it?)

So if the chance to win a Kindle Fire HD isn’t enough for you this week, (greedy so and so), then I also have this funky pair of Hi-Tec walking boots to give away.

hi-tec pink walking bootsPretty jazzy aren’t they? You won’t lose your friends in these.

I’m going to tell you what the website says about them, because it sounds so exciting I can’t think of a better way to put it:

‘These gorgeous fuschia pink boots feature a versatile lacing system to guarantee a secure fit, plus a moisture wick lining to keep the foot dry. A soft padded collar adds comfort, while the removable EVA sockliner adds cushioning. The rubber MDT hiking outsole is extra durable giving this unique shoe all the qualities of a hiking boot with a much more interesting look. ‘

You see? I would never have come up with a phrase like ‘moisture wick lining’. I don’t even know what a moisture wick lining is. It definitely sounds like the sort of thing you want in a hiking boot though.

Normally these bad boys retail at £49.99 but you could get a pair FOR FREE if you enter today. Each entry mechanism counts as an extra ticket in the hat so do do as many as you can. The competition will close on 31st August. Good luck!

Oh wow, perfect prize! They’re lovely! My favourite summer walking boots are Hi-Tec but they’re brown! I get through walking boots at a very quick rate! I live in the Peak District and walking is my main love in life! Picking a favourite is so hard, we do some lovely walks around Chatsworth and Kinder Scout and Castleton. My favourite at the moment is probably a 13 mile walk around Derwent Reservoir. Its a nice flat route and good paths so instead of having to watch where you put your feet you get to take in the amazing scenery. Oops sorry you got an epic haha!

Derbyshire – rolling hills, river valleys, tumbling waterfalls and quaint old stone villages Besides the famous places like Bakewell and the Tissington Trail there are hidden places like Lumsdale Valley where waterfalls tumble to different levels where there are the ruins of old mills that use to use the water to power machinery – nature is taking over and the place is magic.
