Nominate your local hero for a Pork Farms pop up party

Who is your local hero?

Take a minute to think about it, because there always IS one. It might be that mum at school who is forever organising fundraising activities for the local playgroup at the same time as being a foster parent, or that guy a couple of streets away who you know spends his weekends collecting donations for refugees.

Perhaps it’s someone who came to the rescue in your hour of need. It might even be a whole group of heroes – a local community group who use their spare time to make a difference in the lives of others. Or maybe you work for a local charity and you have one volunteer who always goes above and beyond.

Whoever they are, they could be in for a treat. Pork Farms wants to throw them a party! Hoorah!

To give you a flavour of things, here’s what happened at some of last year’s pop up parties:

Pork Farms wants to hear about all kinds of acts of kindness, no matter how big or small.

The top 25 nominations will go to a public vote and the five winners will get a full on party, complete with food, drink and entertainment, all provided by Pork Farms. (Naturally there will be plenty of pork pies too.) The nominators will help the Pork Farms team to set up a location and date for the party to make sure each winner is truly surprised.

Go and nominate your local hero now.

What a lovely idea! I can think of so many people in my local community who I’d nominate!

Well crack on! You’ve got about a week left I think – I’m sure they would absolutely love to be nominated!

This makes me feel terrible as I feel as if I should be more involved in the local community to know these like this! There are so many people doing such wonderful things who never asked to be recognised for it, so this is such a lovely idea.
