Competition – Win £50 to spend on clothes at Joe Browns

Guess what? I have another competition for you up my sleeves! I know, another one! I bet you’re glad you still read this blog aren’t you?

This competition isn’t to win something for your kids, which is always nice, but to win something for you. Or for someone who is a bit like you that you haven’t got a Christmas present for yet.

If you’re an avid Slummy enthusiast, then you may remember a few years ago when Bee got some lovely clothes from Joe Browns and all of her dreams came true, including THAT dress. You know, the lovely yellow one with the pretty pattern on it that I secretly wished was mine.

Joe Browns competition

Bee was so pleased with her dress and leggings that I have teamed up with Joe Browns again, this time to give my readers a chance to win the dress of THEIR dreams! On the site at the moment they have some really lovely unique party wear, perfect for the festive season. I’ve never really thought to look at Joe Browns for something to wear to a Christmas party but their range is actually really cool and I love all of the pieces, especially this metallic skater dress.

All of the clothes on the Joe Browns site are really original, great for if you want to stand out from the crowd in pretty colours, Elle Woods style. Joe Browns pride themselves on bold colours, bright patterns, fabulous silhouettes and high quality, distinctive 3D detailing that make their ranges so iconic.

And now you could have a pretty party dress all of your very own simply by entering my competition to win a £50 Joe Browns voucher! All you need to do to enter is check out the Joe Browns festive infographic below, and leave a comment telling me which fact resonates most with you – do you have a Christmas jumper collection? Are you shocked to be in the tiny minority that spends over £1000 on presents? Let me know! Then do your thang in the Rafflecopter widget to let me know you’ve commented and unlock some bonus entries. The competition will close on December 14th at midnight.

Good luck!

Christmas highlight definitely includes the massive family party we host here and my five kids are now all old enough to wash up, and cook! They enjoy getting together and bickering about it, and taking it in turns to pick on each other.

Yes I wear the hat for as long as possible, despite my huge head.
Yes I have no idea what to buy my partner but I think I am better at present-buying than him. But I would say that.

  3. 4 December, 2015 / 5:40 pm

And I recycle things for the grandchildren, who are too young to notice yet, and friends&relatives are treated to a charitable donation in their name. This year we’re thinking of sponsoring a Nicaraguan latrine for them…

  67. Laura Jeffs
    6 December, 2015 / 3:46 pm

‘It’s all about the money’ .. I really dislike over the top Christmas consumerism, we’re losing sight of the true meaning of Christmas.

  68. Rachel Fisher
    6 December, 2015 / 3:52 pm

The paper hat – for me its to be worn until you drop!

  69. 6 December, 2015 / 4:42 pm

I am probably someone who used to spend over £1,000 on presents. My favourite Christmas thing is spending time with my husband and family :) I’ve realised there is more to life than expensive presents and we set a sensible budget now :)

  70. Hilda Hazel Wright
    6 December, 2015 / 5:02 pm

31% struggle with present ideas for a partner! I’m suprised its not higher than that actually! In my family we don’t exchange presents, none of us has the money and it seems pointless. Its not miserable, we have lots of fun! But its more about fun, quality time, nice food and drinks rather than struggling to come up with gift ideas just for the hell of it! For us time is more important than things!

  71. elizabeth ferguson
    6 December, 2015 / 6:17 pm

  72. Helen Tovell

was surprised at how many people wear the hat for the whole meal mine is always falling off

  73. Charlotte Foy
    6 December, 2015 / 8:00 pm

The fact that resonated with me most was the amount spent on gifts. Myself and my partner used to go wild with presents and then there were family, friends, travel, food and everything else on top, it was madness! Now we have a budget to spend on each other while we’re saving for the wedding and try to cut costs on other people’s presents as much as possible too. Spending time together is more valuable than the amount of money spent on each other.

  74. 6 December, 2015 / 9:02 pm

I’m left wondering what the other 12.3% would do if they were Santa for the day!

I LOVE to wear a novelty jumper, I make the most of my family do it too. It’s all about spending time with family and having fun. Open presents and wearing the hats that come out of he crackers! I’m also guilty about recycling presents for kids (oh the shame!) but what they don’t know won’t hurt them. I do buy the majority of presents online only because I usually find a discount code or they are simply cheaper online x

  78. Caroline H
    6 December, 2015 / 10:05 pm
