Guess what? I have another competition for you up my sleeves! I know, another one! I bet you’re glad you still read this blog aren’t you?
This competition isn’t to win something for your kids, which is always nice, but to win something for you. Or for someone who is a bit like you that you haven’t got a Christmas present for yet.
If you’re an avid Slummy enthusiast, then you may remember a few years ago when Bee got some lovely clothes from Joe Browns and all of her dreams came true, including THAT dress. You know, the lovely yellow one with the pretty pattern on it that I secretly wished was mine.
Bee was so pleased with her dress and leggings that I have teamed up with Joe Browns again, this time to give my readers a chance to win the dress of THEIR dreams! On the site at the moment they have some really lovely unique party wear, perfect for the festive season. I’ve never really thought to look at Joe Browns for something to wear to a Christmas party but their range is actually really cool and I love all of the pieces, especially this metallic skater dress.
All of the clothes on the Joe Browns site are really original, great for if you want to stand out from the crowd in pretty colours, Elle Woods style. Joe Browns pride themselves on bold colours, bright patterns, fabulous silhouettes and high quality, distinctive 3D detailing that make their ranges so iconic.
And now you could have a pretty party dress all of your very own simply by entering my competition to win a £50 Joe Browns voucher! All you need to do to enter is check out the Joe Browns festive infographic below, and leave a comment telling me which fact resonates most with you – do you have a Christmas jumper collection? Are you shocked to be in the tiny minority that spends over £1000 on presents? Let me know! Then do your thang in the Rafflecopter widget to let me know you’ve commented and unlock some bonus entries. The competition will close on December 14th at midnight.
Good luck!
In association with Joe Browns. The competition will close on midnight 14th December. The winner will be notified within 7 days by email and will have 30 days to claim their prize or another winner will be drawn. Judges decision final. UK and over 18s only. Christmas highlight definitely includes the massive family party we host here and my five kids are now all old enough to wash up, and cook! They enjoy getting together and bickering about it, and taking it in turns to pick on each other.
Yes I wear the hat for as long as possible, despite my huge head.
Yes I have no idea what to buy my partner but I think I am better at present-buying than him. But I would say that.
And I recycle things for the grandchildren, who are too young to notice yet, and friends&relatives are treated to a charitable donation in their name. This year we’re thinking of sponsoring a Nicaraguan latrine for them…
the who wears the paper hat think mine stays on for about a second
85.6% have recycled a present! That is alot of presents!
Novelty jumpers all the way, they are so popular now. I think we have about 5 each now to wear over Christmas.
I wear my paper hat all day, after a while i forget i’ve got it on, its all for a good laugh and in the spirit of Christmas x
4.6% spend more than £1000 on gifts? Oh how the other half live! D:
Yep i wear the paper hat for as long as possible even though it usually tears as i have a large head.
I definitely agree the worst part of christmas day is the washing up i hate it.
I am using foil trays to cook my turkey, roast potatoes and pigs in blankets this year so just rinse them out then they go to be recycled.
After dinner we always play board games. The worst part is drying up all the dishes
I always wear the paper hat for the full meal!
We both recycle as much as we can and donate money to people they are l less fortunate
Peace and Goodwill, like the comment above in regards to ALL the children receiving Christmas presents. Though so should ALL adults.
we enjoy wearing out xmas jumpers each year x
Yes I own a Christmas jumper – I won it in a competition a couple of years ago. Its not too bad so far as Christmas jumpers go, but its not been cold enough yet this year to wear it so I’ve not needed to agonise about potential naffness up to now :D
I love spending time with my family on christmas day!
I’m guilty of recycling gifts and trying to make sure no one finds out lol :)
53% own a festive jumper including me who might have 6 of them ;)
I am definitely an Online Xmas shopper, It’s so much easier and stress free than braving the High Street.
The paper hat! I’m always the last one wearing it!

I’m most interested in the fact that only 87.7% of people would give every child a gift if they were Santa for the day – makes you wonder what the other 12.3% would get up to!
65.5% buying presents on line, that is me, I hate the busy shops, shoving people tutting at me with the pushchair, so stay at home in the warm, with a cup of tea bliss
To my shame I’ve recycled a present more times than I can remember, the trick is not to give it back to the person that gave it to you, someone once did that to me. lol
i have over the last couple of years started collecting xmas jumpers
buying presents online, i definitely prefer to buy some things online, it is quicker, sometimes shops dont have the same stock in store
Christmas parties with the whole of my family! Brilliant fun!
I love Joe Browns, This is a fantastic prize
Trying to buy a present for my wife – she’s a nightmare! And just when you think you’ve thought of the ideal thing, she’ll change her mind and start going on about something else!
I have to say ive sold a present before
Definitely that 40% say the worst part is washing up! Nothing worse than having a lovely dinner, wanting to just sit down and relaxing and seeing all of those dirty plates!
I love to play board games and I also wear the hat for as long as possible
I always struggle with Xmas present ideas for my partner
87% would give a present to every child in the world is an uplifting statistic, and I would be one of them :)
I always wear the hat all the way through dinner, until it inevitably bursts because of my giant head.
I definitely agree that buying a present for my husband is difficult – in fact I find buying presents for men in general quite challenging
That 18% of people shop after their Christmas dinner
Enjoying the family time
I always wear my paper hat for the whole meal!!

We love to sit down as a family and play bored games. It is a Christmas tradition.
The wearing the paperhat for the whole meal – I’m the only one who ever does that!
I always said, if I ever got a big lottery win, wouldn’t it be just brilliant to play at being Father Christmas. In just 24 hours giving things which are really needed , secretly .

Definitely the washing up aspect!! We try and do bits as we go along to make it more manageable, but it’s still not very festive!
‘It’s all about the money’ .. I really dislike over the top Christmas consumerism, we’re losing sight of the true meaning of Christmas.
The paper hat – for me its to be worn until you drop!
I am probably someone who used to spend over £1,000 on presents. My favourite Christmas thing is spending time with my husband and family :) I’ve realised there is more to life than expensive presents and we set a sensible budget now :)
31% struggle with present ideas for a partner! I’m suprised its not higher than that actually! In my family we don’t exchange presents, none of us has the money and it seems pointless. Its not miserable, we have lots of fun! But its more about fun, quality time, nice food and drinks rather than struggling to come up with gift ideas just for the hell of it! For us time is more important than things!
I can identify with the jumper collection .. can’t everyone??
was surprised at how many people wear the hat for the whole meal mine is always falling off
The fact that resonated with me most was the amount spent on gifts. Myself and my partner used to go wild with presents and then there were family, friends, travel, food and everything else on top, it was madness! Now we have a budget to spend on each other while we’re saving for the wedding and try to cut costs on other people’s presents as much as possible too. Spending time together is more valuable than the amount of money spent on each other.
I’m left wondering what the other 12.3% would do if they were Santa for the day!
53% of people own a novelty jumpe
i own a festive jumper & make all the family wear them too
I LOVE to wear a novelty jumper, I make the most of my family do it too. It’s all about spending time with family and having fun. Open presents and wearing the hats that come out of he crackers! I’m also guilty about recycling presents for kids (oh the shame!) but what they don’t know won’t hurt them. I do buy the majority of presents online only because I usually find a discount code or they are simply cheaper online x
31% finding their partner difficult to buy for really resonates for me. I’m surprised 18% hit the laptop to shop in the sales though!
Wow almost all of them rang true for me. I can’t stand wearing the paper hat during the whole meal and I’m glad i’m not the only one.
