Littlewoods Christmas clothes – fab fur and shoes to die for

Well, given that it turns out the hand sniffing was a bit weird, I thought I’d quickly change the subject to something that shows me a in slightly better light. Let’s just pretend the last post never happened yeah?

So, moving swiftly on…

Last Friday, I had a rather lovely day out, and I went up to London to have a look at the Littlewoods Christmas collection.

Normally I hate shopping – that moment where you catch a glimpse of yourself from behind in a brightly lit changing room is never great for your self-esteem – but it turns out that when I have a professional photographer on hand, and someone to do my hair and make up, it’s really not so bad. Who’d have thought?

Fuelled by a delicious cake selection and glass or two of mulled wine, I threw myself into the occasion, trying on everything I could get my hands on. Here is me working what I like to think of as my high-class hooker look:

Littlewoods review

I actually loved everything about this outfit, particularly the coat. It’s not something I would ever normally wear, but there’s something about it, when you put it on, you just feel lovely, like a friendly bear is giving you a big hug.

See? Cuddly innit?

My other favourite thing of the afternoon was a pair of absolutely beautiful, seriously high heeled red velvet shoes. These are f*** me shoes if ever I saw some, and it was all I could do whilst wearing them not to take myself off into a cupboard somewhere. Seriously, they were GORGEOUS, and that’s coming from a girl who normally doesn’t care about shoes at all.

Is Littlewoods good for clothes?

I made a little joke at the end of the afternoon about sneaking them away under my coat, hoping Littlewoods would chuckle and say ‘Oh go on, have the shoes’, but unfortunately they laughed in more of a ‘if those shoes are missing we’ll know where they are’ way, so I put them reluctantly back on the shelf.

I’ll be honest and say I’d not have thought before of Littlewoods as somewhere to go for anything really, particularly not party clothes, but now I’m a proper convert. I’ve definitely discovered my inner Bet Lynch too, and am now a big fan of fur.

God, I could barely walk in those! I am clearly a total baby :-)

They had some really lovely stuff. I really liked a lot of the Coleen Rooney dresses too.

Do you remember 80’s sitcom Bread (we had the board game)? Well, first picture-Lilo Lil. All I could think of when I looked at it. In the words of Bee-no offence.

I do remember, although I’d forgotten about the board game until then!

It is seriously warm too. I’m a bit of a baby when it comes to the cold, but I wore this out to some fireworks at the weekend and I was super toasty the whole way through :-)
