Working in the nursery industry, I come across a whole range of apparently ‘must have’ baby products. Some are genuinely useful, others I think we could probably do without.
There are some though that are just downright stupid.
I wanted to share with you this compilation from Baby Gizmo of some of the most ridiculous baby products ever.

Oh my goodness those are insane. People really will buy anything for their babies. I particularly detest the baby bangs and the baby high heels… and words fail me with some of those towards the end! I must admit to completely understanding the need for the changing mat straitjacket although I definitely wouldn’t be buying one!
The heels and hair are just bizarre aren’t they? Bonkers. And I thought the whole ‘eight-year-olds-being-turned-into-teenagers’ thing was bad enough. Heels though?? For babies that can’t even walk??

I do like the hanging baby though…..but imagine if you forgot them…..
Haha! Yes, I can quite imagine just leaving the toilet and forgetting them until you were out in the street… It would be a bit of a shock to be the person going in afterwards and finding a baby hanging there staring at you.

Did you get the press release yesterday about a birthing shirt. A baggy shirt that opens up the front and comes in ‘birth friendly colours’ – genius!

I used to think a toddler helmet was a stupid idea, however now we live in an apartment with marble floors, I’m thinking it may be less stupid than I originally thought.
The toddler tracker could be good in supermarkets and crowded places.
One product that could be an entry in this is the Pee-Pee Tee Pee!
um….I have two problems:
1. I actually own an item on the list
2. I want to own another

Me also PMSL. The baby wig – totally creepy. High heels – just seriously, who would put those on a child? The hanging baby thing is just absolutely hilarious. Baby straitjacket – bit odd but then some people do swaddle their babies – though I think that’s a a tiny bit wrong. I do not understand the pee pee bottle – toddlers can’t even get it in the pan anyway so how on earth would they manage it into a bottle?
But very very funny

I love them all – who ever designed them was a genius. The straight-jacket for babies is awesome – but surely there is some kind of human rights issue being contravened here? Also, when would you stop? 12 months? 18 months? 14 years?
