Jon from The Money Shed is back today to tell you all about a really useful social media scheduling tool for bloggers called SocialOomph. I have used SocialOomph in the past and it’s definitely worth checking out if you want to save time promoting blog posts.

It can’t just be me that dreads having to schedule their social media can it?
It doesn’t matter if you run a website, a blog or anything else in-between, one of the most time consuming things you will end up doing is scheduling your social media.
No matter if it’s Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram you will end up driving yourself mad each week as you schedule your updates to make sure that you have all your bases covered and your blog posts can get promoted to as many people as possible.

The SocialOomph reservoir feature
What makes SocialOomph a step above the rest when it comes to these sort of services is its FANTASTIC reservoir feature.
This is a facility that allows you to create an update and put it into a ‘pot’. Your updates are then chosen at random and the platform they are uploaded to is also random as well making your Facebook or Twitter schedule look completely random. New updates are posted to your social media channels at random intervals from 10 minutes to 4 hours and can be published within hours and days of your choosing.
At the time of writing this post for Jo I have around 300 updates scheduled in my reservoir as amongst other things I’ve written an update promoting each of my blog posts on The Money Shed. The fantastic thing about this is that it means I can continue to derive value from my older blog posts by promoting them without any hassle.
As you write new blog posts and go to promote them it is literally a case of logging into SocialOomph > writing the update and adding it to your reservoir of choosing. JOB DONE!!
You are able to have as many reservoirs as you like. So you might have one for evergreen content and another maybe only for content you want to promote at a certain time of year such as Christmas or during the Summer. Reservoirs can run alongside each other so you can REALLY harness the most value from your social media updates. Since using SocialOomph it’s seem a HUGE INCREASE in engagement in both my Facebook and Twitter channels as my followers get exposed to content they had never seen before which I may have written a few years ago!

The FREE package gives you features such as Tweet scheduling, keyword tracking, drafts, a URL shortener, monitoring tool and lets you connect up to 5 Twitter accounts.
The Twitter Unlimited package which is only $6.97 every 2 weeks lets you have access to all the tools above plus the all important Reservoir feature and also lets you link an unlimited number of Twitter accounts.
The Professional Package is only $17.79 every 2 weeks and lets you have access to all the features of the previous package plus lets you schedule for Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn. You can also set ‘self destruct’ dates for your tweets so they stop getting randomly scheduled at a date of your choosing and also you can BULK UPLOAD tweet updates!
No matter which package you choose I can’t stress enough just how much time SocialOomph has saved me over the last few months I’ve been using it.

Scheduling can take up so time so I like the sound of Social oomp, where you can auto schedule many accounts/posts at the same time!
Sounds like a great tool to use. I am still playing around with a couple to see which suits my niches but will definitely check this one out.

This looks really useful. I need to get better organised so that I can have my posts written way in advance then something like this would be perfect
I don’t actually schedule my posts but wanted to look into doing it. What great timing. I will reread this later when the children are all asleep and not making so much noise.
I have this set up, but struggled to get my head around the timings and scheduling! Need to sit down and concentrate on it.
