Competition – win a takeaway worth £50

If you live in Bristol and are partial to the odd takeaway then listen up – this is the post for you.

Meals.co.uk is a takeaway website with a difference. We’re not talking a list of your local kebab shops here, we’re talking top notch restaurant and takeaway food, delivered to your door. We’re talking all of the quality you get from your favourite local restaurant, but in your pyjamas in front of the TV. That’s the best of both worlds in my eyes.

On the Meals.co.uk website you simply pop in your postcode (they cover only Bristol at the moment) and it comes up with a list of local restaurants. You have a browse of the menus, pick your favourite, and place your order, all in one place.

We chose to test the Indian food at Byzantium, and were really impressed with the quality and speed of delivery. There were a few niggles with the site, but they were only small techy things and the Meals.co.uk team were really happy to hear our feedback.

The food was excellent, with very fresh tasting flavours and lots of powerful spices. We even got to try a chocolate samosa, which I just couldn’t resist ordering as I’d never seen it on a menu before.

If I have whetted your appetite for a takeaway then I have good news – I am giving away a meal from Meals.co.uk, worth £50, to one lucky reader! You do need to live in Bristol (you might want to check the website first to make sure they deliver to your postcode) but if you know people here you could always win it as a gift and look super generous. The competition will close on 15th September, so enter now!

I switch all the time. At the moment I’m getting pregnancy cravings for lots of takeaway food. I’ll go to bed dreaming of pepperoni pizza and wake up in the morning longing for spicy curry! I’m not sure what this says about this baby or me!

Well, there are a few: Christmas Steps chippie of course, then for indian food there’s “Spice of India” on Small Street, while the Bristol Kebab House on the centre is always good for the post-pub munchies….!

I love to get a takeaway Pepperoni Pizza with Greek salad and Cheese garlic bread from Grounded in BS5. If I fancy a curry I get it from Merchi, in church road, usually a really hot dish and a fairly mild dish to balance out the spices.
