Every so often I take a good look at Instagram and think to myself ‘what is it that I really want to see?’ We can all be guilty of that mindless scrolling, but if we’re going to get hypnotised it might as well be by pictures that fill us with joy right? For me that means colour, pattern, beautiful interiors and houseplants.
I bloody love houseplants. They’re one of the things that I think really makes a house a home, along with pictures and cats, obviously. I love looking at other people’s pictures of houseplants, and even better if they also have cats in them.

Plantastic Mr Fox deserves a mention just for the excellent name, but the pictures are pretty good too. He has an absolutely beautiful stromanthe triostar with gorgeous dark green and pale pink variegated leaves and an amazing caladium white queen.

Two Plant Mamas is a lovely houseplant account from a pair of friends from Prague. They say they’re obsessed by plants and love prosecco, and one of them has a cat, so I feel like we’d get on.

Into The Plants is an Instagram account from a plant lover based in Berlin who not only keeps houseplants, but also paints them. Her watercolours are so pretty, and you can buy them on her Etsy shop.

The Potted Jungle is a compilation account, but worth a mention as it often includes pets. What’s not to love about two dogs in a bath, surrounded by plants? Nothing, that’s what.

Welcome to the Jungle Home is quite possibly my favourite on this list, and not just because of Pixel the cat. Okay, mainly because of Pixel, but Pixel’s owner Phoebe looks lovely too. Her mission is to create an indoor jungle in New York City and the result is a feed full of colour and joy.
