How to do your weekly shop online at Iceland for £35

I have to admit that until I started working with Iceland a few months ago, I would have never thought to order my weekly shop online with them. To be totally honest, I didn’t even know you COULD shop online at Iceland. I thought it was just one of those places you went to buy a six pack of cornettos for a pound when you were in town with friends and didn’t want to spend £2 each on a Magnum.

(It IS good for that mind, it’s just more too. In fact, without wanting to get you over excited, if you wanted to splash out and get five ice creams for £1.50, you could get five mini Viennas on sticks. Follow the link and take a look. It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.)

I feel like this year though, after going to Iceland’s autumn/winter launch and then getting to go up to London and spend Christmas with them, (in July), Iceland has blossomed in my mind from rows of freezer cabinets to somewhere where you can actually SHOP properly. For actual things that aren’t just frozen Slimming World meals. (They do loads of these – top tip if you’re on Slimming World.)

Turns out Iceland online is an awesome place to shop.

Hold up though, I know what you might be thinking.

‘Yeah, yeah,’ you’re muttering, ‘she would say that wouldn’t she? Everyone knows you can’t get EVERYTHING you need from Iceland – you can’t exactly buy frozen toilet roll can you?’

No, obviously no one wants frozen toilet roll, but despite the name, the majority of things that Iceland sells aren’t actually frozen.

*MIND BLOWN*

They sell loads of fresh foods, including fruit and vegetables, plus regular, room temperature toilet roll. Basically, you can do your whole shop there is what I’m trying to say. And it’s cheap too, especially if you throw in an Iceland promo code.

This whole shop arrived today and it cost me just a few pence over £35:

For just £35 I got all sorts – apples, bananas, milk, cheese, eggs, bread, toothpaste, washing liquid and, of course, toilet roll. (Non frozen.) Oh and a packet of bourbons seems to have accidentally slipped it. I don’t know how THAT happened.

It was very well timed, as we’ve just got back from a week away and all I had in the fridge was a bottle of Baileys and a block of smoked cheese. It’s difficult to make a child-friendly meal out of that. Now though I have prawns and chicken and bacon and Greggs sausage rolls! Come on now, it wouldn’t be Iceland without a cheeky Greggs sausage roll would it?

My mum likes Iceland because, unlike most other supermarkets, you can go and wander around the shop and choose exactly what YOU want and they will then deliver it.
Excellent for older people who still like to go shopping but can’t carry it home and aren’t on the internet (well, my mum IS online but she hardly ever uses it). Still can’t get OH’s mum to try it tho!
And btw Iceland also have great Christmas deals!

It’s great isn’t it? I love that the minimum free delivery amount is so low – you don’t end up ordering loads of things you don’t really need just to qualify!

The ice cream thing made me laugh – because that is the number one reason for Iceland as far as we are concerned too! We always have at least two boxes of their 6 pack cones for £1 in the freezer, and are most put out that the mint ones disappeared this year…

(and for balance, for me, the second most important thing they sell are their bags of broccoli and cauliflower!)

If I sign up for online shopping, do I have to order straight away, or any day I want? Thank you
