Sleepyhead Deluxe review + cute baby pictures

Following the popularity of her review of the SpaceCot, Bee is back again with her new baby sister Martha, this time trying out the Sleepyhead Deluxe.

Sleepyhead review

After Martha’s first foray into the world of reviews with the SpaceCot, she’s back again in all her cuteness reviewing the Sleepyhead Deluxe!

The Sleepyhead Deluxe is great because not only is it designed to keep your baby safe and comfy when co-sleeping, but it can also be used in a cot to help your baby sleep better and to make the cot seem smaller, and it’s also perfect for learning stuff like tummy time and also just for relaxing on the floor without being able to roll away.

Sleepyhead review

The Sleepyhead Deluxe comes in loads of pretty patterns and colours but finally we decided on the grey chevron style, just because it’s timeless and goes with the rest of her stuff. Just like her sister, she loves a bit of grey. (Also, we thought she was going to be a boy. So y’know.)

Even though Martha doesn’t co-sleep, she’s always had something extra in her Moses basket to sleep on, like one of those baby ring things. She hates, hates, hates being on the mat when she has her nappy changed so I was curious to see whether she would enjoy the Sleepyhead just for chilling out on.

Sleepyhead review

I was nervous at first because she hates lying down flat, she only ever spends time in her pushchair/car seat or on someone’s lap. She’s not really big on lying on mats or in her Moses in the day time. Nevertheless, we unpacked the Sleepyhead Deluxe with optimism, hoping we wouldn’t end up having to give it away to another baby friend because Marth is just super fussy.

The first thing we noticed about the Sleepyhead is just what good quality it is. The material is so soft and comfy and I would actually love an adult sized one that I could just curl up in with a book. Unfortunately though, I am an adult and have to do horrible things such as get out of bed and perform useless tasks.

Well we put Martha in there and she absolutely loved it! The instructions say to put your baby at the head of the Sleepyhead to keep them safest, but as Marth suffers from wind problems we also tried putting her at the bottom with her legs over the top, supervising her at all times. It seemed to keep her really quiet compared to usual. She loved it so much that I was even able to get some decent photos of her!

Sleepyhead review

Even though the Sleepyhead Deluxe is slightly more than you might usually pay for a baby item, this definitely isn’t a fad. If this is your first child then it will definitely be worth keeping and saving for the next baby, because it’s just such good quality and is perfect even for fussy old babies like Marth.

We hope you enjoyed this Sleepyhead review! Check out the full Sleepyhead range here.

Thanks Marth for posing for photos and to Sleepyhead for sending Bee and Marth the Sleepyhead Deluxe to review!

I had one of these when my son was born (he’s 8 now) and it was a lifesaver! We brought it with us whenever we travelled and it was great! Definitely worth the investment!
