3 ways to raise money for Marie Curie

It’s not too late to fundraise for Marie Curie this year! Although the Great Daffodil Appeal has come and gone, you can still raise funds for the charity throughout the year.

Here’s a list of fundraising ideas to get you started. This definitely isn’t an exhaustive list, so get creative!

Get crafty

If you’re feeling crafty, try making and selling crochet or origami daffodils. You can even share your skills with others by holding a creative workshop and charging an entry fee to raise money.

Get baking

If cooking is more your thing, Marie Curie has partnered up with celebrities like Stanley Tucci and Jane Asher to share their recipes with us. From saffron cupcakes and summer berry rose-scented meringue to banana bread and red velvet cheesecake, there’s something for everyone’s taste! You can see the full list of recipes here.

Why not hold a tea party to showcase your baking skills? Sign up for a fundraising pack here for the Blooming Great Tea Party.

Get active

And lastly, if you would rather get active, there are so many things you can do! You can organise a charity sports match, or have a sports day and charge people to take part in the races. For those more at ease in the water, a swimathon is the way to go!

You can also join a walking, cycling, or running competition to raise funds. Tell your friends and family so they can either donate or fundraise with you!

Don’t forget to sign up with Marie Curie so you can get your free fundraising packs, and send over your winnings at the end of your event.
