Win £100 to spend on clothes at Alice’s Pig

I’m not one of those people that’s massively into new clothes, shoes and handbags, but I DO love it when I discover a brand that’s not afraid of colour and pattern. If you were to open my wardrobe you’d see what I mean – I’m not even sure I own a plain black dress. Inside the wardrobe is just a mass of floral prints.

My new bits and pieces from Alice’s Pig fit right in.

Alice’s Pig creates vintage inspired clothes and statement pieces that have a lit bit of magic to them – think Alice in Wonderland, with an edge of sassiness. Dressed in something from Alice’s Pig, I feel you’d always be ready for an adventure.

Alice's Pig

Alice's Pig

(We call this my ‘sassy hat’ at home, so it’s perfect for this. The photos are by WhoIsBenjamin.)

Alice’s Pig gets a big tick from me for having pockets in their skirts. I know it’s a little thing, but I don’t think a girl can really have a proper adventure without pockets. I even made sure that my bridesmaid’s dress for my sister’s wedding last year had pockets made.

The next skirt is definitely what you’d call a statement piece. I absolutely LOVE this print, and the fabric is that sturdy kind that holds its shape, so you always look super glam.

Alice's Pig

Alice's Pig

The final piece I chose was a dress. It’s possibly one of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever worn, and I love the way it hangs and swirls around me. One of my favourite bits about it is the cut out on the shoulders. Now I’m getting old I don’t especially want to be getting my arms out all the time, but having a little slither of flesh on show adds a little bit of sexy without scaring anyone.

I love wearing colour and since having my daughter my wardrobe has been somewhat limited! I’ve lost weight but I only have old ill fitting clothes, so many of the dresses would help me feel much better and more like “me” again.
Plus I’m a bit obsessed with pigs so the name of the brand really speaks to me :-)

I love , love, love Gwendolyn’s Glam and Karen’s Kyoto, can’t decide between the two I’m afraid. Both feminine with arms covered, v important when you are getting on a bit in body I’m afraid but not in mind.. I know they are both in the sale, and no I’m not a cheapskate, they are just the ones I absolutely like the best. Also what’s refreshing is the models are all wearing shoes/boots that you won’t break your neck in!!

I am a massive Alice’s Pig fan, they have been one of my favourite brands for about 3 years now, particularly due to special pieces like this.
