Review: Everdine – clean eating made simple + £25 Everdine discount code

Looking for a healthier way to eat conveniently? Read my Everdine review and get a £25 discount code* for your first Everdine order. (*It’s actually £25.20, which brings the cost of eight boxes down to just £30. Got to be worth a try for that surely?)

I must confess that I’ve not spectacularly leapt onto the ‘clean eating’ bandwagon. To me, clean eating means putting your toast and chocolate spread onto a clean plate rather than just brushing the crumbs off a plate you find beside the sink.

I don’t think that’s the standard definition though, and it’s certainly not how Everdine defines it.

Clean eating is actually about eating as much ‘real’ food as possible – food in its natural state, unprocessed and unrefined. It’s essentially about going back to basics and eating as nature intended. I think. Although it probably helps with the general ethos to have a clean plate as well,

Recognising my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to food preparation, I’ve been trying out a new food delivery scheme from a company called Everdine.

Everdine review discountYou start by selecting your plan. They are perfect for work lunches, and they’d be brilliant for anyone living alone, (or if you can’t be arsed to cook), who wanted to eat well but didn’t want to spend a fortune on expensive ingredients in larger quantities.

You then choose your Everdine meals. A selection is made automatically for you, but you’re free to switch them if there is something you really like the look of, or a meal that doesn’t take your fancy. The great thing is that you can pause or cancel your deliveries anytime and Everdine offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, too. That means if you are not happy with the meals, Everdine will happily compensate you.

Then you sit back and wait for your delivery.

Your delivery time is specified, and everything is packed in sheep’s wool for insulation. When they arrive, pop them in the freezer, and you’re good to go. I loved the simplicity of it all, and the flavours were amazing.

My favourite so far has been the king prawn miso ramen. The flavour was just glorious – rich, fresh, tasty. The prawns were excellent and although I’m not normally a huge mushroom fan, they were fantastic in this dish. You might think that, after being frozen then microwaved, they’d be a bit iffy, but they were firm and meaty – delicious.

If you want to give your diet a nutritional boost without the hassle of shopping and cooking every day, then Everdine is definitely worth a go.

Ohhhh I love the sound of this. I struggle even after all these years, as I’m veggie and no one else in the family is. So this would be easier for me, plus be healthier. Love it!

I’ve been so bad at eating lately and have often just grabbed a microwave meal when the kids are with their dad, so these sound perfect to make sure you are eating good wholesome food without the hassle. The packaging is really lovely and the meals all sound really good.

For your work lunches do you have a freezer at work or is it okay to leave them a few hours in the fridge? Do you use a cool bag or what? It sounds ideal for me but I’m trying to wrap my head around the logistics.

I have a freezer at work so I kept them all in there, but I reckon you could easily take one from the freezer in the morning, keep it in the fridge if you have one, or just somewhere cool, and then have it for lunch. I can’t see what harm that would do – it wouldn’t even defrost completely in that time.
