Competition – win £100 to spend on books at The Book People

Come into my house at any point and you can normally have a good guess at what time of the year it is based on how many boxes of books from The Book People I have under my bed:

  • 0 boxes = January – June
  • 1 box = July – September
  • 3 boxes = October – November
  • 47 boxes = December

It’s approximate, but fairly accurate.

If you’ve never shopped with the Book People before, let me give you a quick overview – it’s books, but they are really cheap. Not in a bargain basement way either – no knocked off Jordan autobiographies – it’s proper decent books, just at low prices. They’re well known too for their sets of books, which are even better value. Normally I spend around £40 in any transaction, and get what would be over £100 of books.

It’s fair to say then that this is a FLAME GRILLED WHOPPER of a prize. With extra cheese. £100 at The Book People will take you straight to November on my Book People timeline, starting from zero.

There are thousands and thousands of books for sale, but here are a few things to whet your reading appetite:

The ENTIRE Man Booker Prize shortlist is currently available for £30 (RRP £85.94)

Book People competition

The Times Concise Atlas of the World is just £19.99 (RRP £90)

Book People competition

The Usborne Big Picture Atlas is just £3.99 (RRP £14.99). I’ve bought this as a present for someone already because I love Usborne books.

Win £100 to spend on The Book People’s Handpicked Favourites

This competition is to win £100 to spend on anything on The Book People website that’s listed as a ‘handpicked favourite’. Everything I’ve mentioned above is included and to be honest, having a browse, pretty much everything is, so I don’t think you’ll have any problem at all finding something that you want to spend your money on.

To enter to win this booktacular prize, all you have to do is have a browse on the Book People website and leave a comment on this post telling me one thing that you might spend your prize on. Register your comment in the Rafflecopter widget below and a whole load of other options will appear, giving you the chance to win bonus entries. Some, like tweeting about the giveaway, can be done every day, for even more entries.

The competition will close at midnight on December 5th, giving you time to spend your prize before Christmas. UK entries only please.

Good luck!

Your description properly made me giggle- coz I have ‘The Box'(es) under my bed and in the wardrobe too!
I ordered some a few weeks ago thinking that was me done for xmas book shopping, but then they sent me a little leaflet through the post so now I want MORE stuff.
Even so, I told myself I would be strong and resist…but then I spotted this post…. and I had to have a browse, obviously, where I spotted the Brambley Hedge boxset.
I had forgotten all about the Brambley Hedge books until just now, but I ADORED them as a kid, the stories are lovely and illustrations are just so intricate and detailed. I didn’t know the whole set was available and now I NEEED it for when my little man gets just a big older and he can sit and read them with me.
I’d love to say ‘Thanks for the post’ but I suspect very much that I will be bankrupting myself on another lovely shipment of books and I will be holding you personally responsible for tempting me like this. ;) x
