Restore the floor this Pelvic Floor Week with INNOVO®

I have a funny feeling that I may be becoming the go to person for bladder weakness. It’s nice to have a niche I guess, especially with Pelvic Floor Week coming up, but it makes me wonder exactly how it has happened. Do I come out top if you Google ‘bloggers with weak pelvic floors’? And if so, how do they know??

It’s a worry.

(Note: as I write this, I do need a wee, but I’m holding it in, to get all the nutrients.*)

Me, super tanned from my recent holiday in Greece. (Not really.)

Whatever the reason, I don’t really mind, as I actually think it’s something that we should talk about much more. There’s a common misconception that a bit of a leak when you cough, or a life without trampolines, is just something you have to accept as you get older and have babies.

It isn’t.

There are loads of things you can do yourself to strengthen your pelvic floor and prevent problems such as bladder weakness, and if those don’t work for you, then your doctor can help too. A weak pelvic floor is definitely NOT something you have to learn to live with.

To make my point, I’m embarking on a new project with INNOVO®.

INNOVO® is a non-invasive way to strengthen your pelvic floor, that doesn’t involve inserting anything, and so is ideal for anyone who feels a bit squeamish about that sort of thing. Instead, you strap yourself into a pair of conductive pads, and then you can just sit down and have a flick through a magazine or catch up on Netflix. INNOVO® does all the work for you, so you don’t have to worry about doing it right, or making stupid faces at your desk. I’ll be introducing you to the product in more detail soon, before putting it to the test myself.

For now though, I wanted to let you know that 19th – 25th September is Pelvic Floor Week.

Who knew?

*Don’t worry, I don’t actually think this is how you get the nutrients. It’s a Friends joke.

OK, I’m laughing along at this but also thinking I should give it a go! I’ve started a new trampolining workout class and it gets a bit touch and go at times!

Ooh. Found this very interesting because of the non-insertion aspect….
