5 reasons to start a new business

A guest post from Bee.

start your own business

We all have that business venture that we think about starting up from time to time. Last week I found myself dramatically excited about starting a business outside of All Bar One after a couple of cocktails with my friend Lia.

“OMG, LET’S JUST START A BUSINESS, like you and me, right now! Let’s just start a business! Let’s go! Let’s just bloody do it” I was screeching across the table at her, as though I was thinking of buying a bar and calling it Puzzles. (Why Puzzles you ask? Well, that’s the Puzzle!)*

Some business dreams are just the stuff of daytime drinking and Sunday nights where you wish you didn’t have to go to work, but these days, a lot of business ventures are actually more achievable than you would think. So if you’ve been meaning to start that company you’ve always dreamed of, here are five reasons why you should just do it!

Freedom
No more commute, no more bosses breathing down your neck and the freedom to do what you love on your terms. There’s no better feeling than being your own boss and working when you want, for yourself!

Unlock your creativity
The daily grind of a mundane job can crush your creative spirit. When you’re running your own business you can make all your own creative decisions and create a company that is totally you, from your slogan to your business cards.

It’s easier than ever
These days it’s easier than ever to start up your own business. From website creators to marketing experts, there are people dying to help you make your dreams become a reality, while you don’t have to worry about doing everything yourself. Try Fiverr for social media support and virtual assistance, pick up a desk on ebay, get your fliers from Fastprint, and away you go.

Make it big
Starting a new business can be tough, not just on your work life balance but also on your bank balance, however, you never know, your idea could be that million pound one that kickstarts your career and means you make it big!

Live your dreams
If you’ve been dreaming of having your own business for a while, there’s no greater satisfaction in life than seeing your dreams become a reality! All the stress will be worth it when you’re reaching your goals left right and centre.

Great tips! I think when it comes to starting a small business you literally do just have to give it a go! You never know what will happen and better to try and fail then not bother trying at all! Well that’s my thoughts!

You really do! I have a bit of a motto for life, (without wanting to sound too lame), that’s ‘Ready, fire, aim’ – people spend far too long thinking about the what ifs, sometimes you just have to go for it and then tweak it as you go along.

You make a great point about the ease of access to certain business startup features in today’s age. Fiverr and the printing resource you shared can make things much easier for those who need to delegate related tasks.

“Make Selling a System” is the most important and most powerful to success in every business. By the way, I will try all of them from now. I have a software business and I hope all them will work perfectly.
