Competition – win spa vouchers worth £198 with Salonpas

How was Christmas for you? If you are anything like me, (which I suspect you are, otherwise why else would you be here, reading my blog, trying to make yourself feel better about yourself), then it involved quite a lot of lying around.

I did do some exercise, but most of it was the ‘reaching for another piece of toffee’ kind, and I’m not sure that burns off an awful lot of calories. When I went back to netball recently then, for the first time in nearly three weeks, I was in for a bit of a surprise. It wasn’t so much that I wasn’t up to speed on the day, but the next day I found it quite difficult to get out of bed and walk up and down the stairs. Not a good sign.

Truth be told, we tend to let ourselves go a little over the Christmas period. Getting back into fitness can be an uncomfortable business and the other niggly aches and pains, which we tried to ignore as we lugged the Christmas decorations down from the attic and rushed desperately around John Lewis looking for last minute yet thoughtful looking gifts, rear their ugly heads again.

January is really not the season to be jolly at all.

This is where Salonpas Pain Relief Patch could come in handy. (You knew I was going somewhere with this didn’t you?)

Salonpas pain relief patch #spSalonpas Pain Relief Patch is a groundbreaking product for the treatment of joint and muscle pain associated with strains and sprains. It’s a significant breakthrough for the millions of us who suffer from muscular pain and uses the latest technology* to deliver two pain relieving ingredients through the skin directly to the affected area. One patch of Salonpas is clinically proven to provide up to 12 hours relief and is suitable for both day and night-time use.

So there you go.

To help make your January a little less painful generally, Salonpas are offering one very lucky reader the chance to win a pair of spa vouchers, worth £99 each. These vouchers can be used at any Bannatyne Spa and Health club in the UK and entitle you and a friend to an Ultimate Elemis Spa Day, which includes an anti-ageing facial, a full body deep tissue massage and full access to the spa’s pool, gym, Jacuzzi and sauna. (Not valid in Charlton house).

To enter, simply use the Rafflecopter widget below. The more items you can tick off, the more chances you have to win. The competition will close on 10th February.

Good luck!

*I have always wondered exactly what that expression means. In my head I imagine tiny robots and those hoovers that work all by themselves. Perhaps your pain relief is brought to you by a thoughtful hoover, who sees you wincing and thinks you could do with some help?

I would like a girlie day as I’m having a hard time. Been told I’m “unemployable” & “the disability discrimination act applies in your case, even if it is only mental health” nice. Some time to forget I’m skint + depressed + unemployable = debt.

  30. 18 January, 2014 / 6:13 pm

I am not good at relaxing..in fact last time I went to a spa about 10 years ago I giggled all the way through the whole process. It would be interesting to see if this has changed. Also I am an artist and the relaxation may lead to inspiration in a strange unknown area of work. Also I would and this is the most important reason love to take my close friend who has been an amazing support to me through a tragedy that struck my family just over a year ago, she has been amazing personal support and also as I have been setting up my business during this terrible time and you know what hard work that is. Just to treat her as she could not afford to do it herself and really show how she is appreciated would be beautiful for her!

I spend most of my time juggling work and all the hospital and therapy appointments my daughter needs, so me time is a bit of a rarity and a spa day isn’t the sort of thing I would tend to get for myself so would be amazing to win.

  178. Kate Edwards

    21 January, 2014 / 12:19 am

I am a single mummy to two, had a really poop year, (too depressing and deep to put on here!) but trying to stay positive. Started a college course as a mature student and will go on to uni next year, been given notice on my house but found a lovely more convenient place to live, and I have lost 11lb in 2 weeks. It would be nice to have a little treat to look forward to, that won’t make me gain weight! :-)
