Competition – Win a Kindle Fire HD with Clic Seville!

Summer is officially here.

Can’t you tell by all the rain we’ve been having?

*sobs*

The kids have only been off school for a few weeks and already you’re three quarters of your way through that emergency bottle of gin, your Pinterest boards full of inspiring outdoor craft activities look like hell on earth and you’re dreaming of getting away from it all, ideally on your own on a desert island with the remainder of the gin.Wouldn’t it be great though to have a guilt free holiday? The kind that was wholesome and relaxing, where you and your older children could be immersed into a foreign culture, learn a new language and enjoy the sun? (Or you could just go on your own if your kids are still small. That sounds pretty nice too.)

Clic.es is a Spanish language school based in the heart of beautiful Seville and they offer the full package: intensive Spanish courses, trips to experience the Spanish culture and all types of accommodation close to their facilities. Clic Seville is the most recognised language school in the city and hosts students, ages 14 and over from over 25 countries around the world.

With the world moving at such an incredible pace, it’s important to find ways to increase our children’s professional value any way we can and being multilingual is one of them. Seriously, you don’t want them living at home at 37 working part-time in Argos do you? You have to think about these things.

For this very reason Clic.es have given me a Kindle Fire HD to give away to one lucky Slummy Single Mummy reader! We figure not every family can afford to get off to Seville this summer, so this way at least you will be able pick up some Spanish directly from your tablet. Worst comes to the worst at least it will distract the kids while you go to Waitrose for more Bombay Sapphire.

There are a few different ways to enter. Each method will count as a different entry, so the more you do, the more chances of getting your hands on a brand new Kindle Fire HD! The competition will close on 26th August 2013.

Good luck!

French, I loved learning it as a child but swapped to Italian as I got older and that’s something I really regret as on holiday this year I could understand the french couple asking for directions but couldn’t be any help to them at all.. sigh.

I am French and you should have tried and you would have been surprised of how much you knew about the French language. English peoples in general speak much more than they think the do and also speak french the way you want and don’t worry about any accent as French is different than English ..you will have an English accent but French peoples would love the fact you tried and you will have no problem to make yourself understand …use your hands too for directions etc … and smile :)

It’s such a soft language, and a challenge in the way the sentence structures are so different to English, I would be very proud to be nearly fluent in it!

Thankyou for such a lovely competition! A kindle fire would be amazing to download some french classics onto to help me out on my road to fluency!
