“Can you blog about this Mummy?”

“Can you blog about it please Mummy?” is not something I hear a lot. “Nooo! Don’t blog about it Mummy!” is more like it. When Belle asked then if I could blog about the present she made me this week, I had to oblige, especially as when she checked my blog later in the day and I hadn’t immediately run to my laptop to write a post she looked very sad.

“I haven’t had time!” I protested.

“So why has this post about a breastpump appeared then?” she asked accusingly.

“It was scheduled!” I said.

You can see the pressure I’m under.

Here then is a picture of the gift Belle made me this week. It is a ‘special box for me to keep precious things in’. It has been lovingly hand-decorated with tissue paper in the shape of a bear’s face, and has a picture of Belle and I in the lid.

Inside there was a surprise waiting for me too – a delicious Lindt bunny that has been lying around in Belle’s room for barely any time at all. And a five pence piece.

We do tease Belle for her habit of wrapping up things from her room as gifts but actually it is quite adorable.

I think you will agree that I am a very lucky Mummy indeed.

I think its beautiful!! Very creative and well worthy of a creative blog spot post!! Well done Belle.

Sometimes, parents can be very busy, between washing up, laundry, working, and everything that mums have to do its hard to find a balance – where everything fits in nicely.

I have to explain alot to my children that I am sorry I have not had the time to do things with them, but I do try hard to make time.

I am suggesting this week that my children create their own chore list, that means they can help out at the same time as I do housework – so we have more time to spend together.

I think it’s gorgeous! Lovely colour combo and you can never have enough useful boxes. And giving away your own chocolate? Well that’s real love right there :)
