This is a chocolate hamper with a bit of a difference though, so while you’re stuffing your face you can feel a bit virtuous too. This chocolate hamper has been very kindly donated by RunNative, an online marketplace for UK social enterprises. Gifts bought from RunNative have a direct impact on communities and lives.
This chocolate hamper is from Chocolate Memories, an emerging social firm, established in 2010 by charity group Autism Initiatives. Based in County Down, Northern Ireland, the business offers training opportunities to people with Autism Spectrum Condition. The team at Chocolate Memories blend the finest quality chocolate with delicious flavour combinations, creating an unforgettable taste experience. All profits are reinvested back into the business to fulfil the social aims and objectives.
Enough about that though. To the chocolate!
This is what’s up for grabs – the large luxury hamper, which includes a selection of products from the Chocolate Memories range presented in a beautiful basket. (Not necessarily the products shown, but they will choose you a good range.)

Choosing my favourite chocolate treat…now that’s an impossible question to answer! But since you’re really forcing me to choose I’d have to say a creme egg. It brings back such lovely childhood memories, even though I’m sure it’s got smaller over the years!
Husband bought me a bar of Bournville last week so I shall say that! Hamper looks luscious!

My favourite chocolate treat is an old fashione one – the walnut whip. I love breaking off the walnut and keeping it until last, then breaking into the top of the chocolate to get at the fondant inside. I do like proper chocolate also, but walnut whips take me back to being little.

Favourite chocolate at 40 weeks pregnant… how about all of them? But yesterday I did make some stupendous ginger snaps I then dipped in melted Cadbury’s Dairy Milk. Sometimes good old Dairy Milk is all a girl needs to have a happy day.

If I’m feeling in need of a modest sugar hit, anything in the Booja Booja range puts a smile on my face.
However, if I’m feeling ravenous and indulgent and only a huge sugar hit will do, it has to be expensive truffles. I care not a jot if I get cocoa dusting on my face, fingers and clothes; I just enjoy the moment (well, usually at least six moments) and worry about the mess afterwards.
Very partial to hot chocolate.
My favourite would have to be Hotel Chocolat choc brownies. I have a packet in my cupboard from Christmas, waiting for my birthday in April. They call to me every time I open the cupboard…

My absolute favourite chocolate treat is a dessert called “Chocolate Nemesis” served at a restaurant I used to frequent in Sri Lanka. It was a baked chocolate mousse (so the top is all crispy) which they then chill, flip onto a plate, and then serve with a generous drizzle of apricot coulis and fresh cream. It is absolutely heavenly and over-the-top and rich and the most amazing marriage between the tartness of the apricot and the richness of the fantastic mousse, with that lovely more cakey base… ohhhh it was the best thing in Sri Lanka of the whole time I lived there!!!!!

Anything galaxy its smooth and silky and melts like a dream in your mouth
Ok, I know it sounds disgusting, but my all-time top chocolatey treat is a milk-chocolate Magnum ice cream bar, spread with peanut butter (crunchy or smooth, I’m not fussy) and then dipped in melted dark chocolate and left to set (which doesn’t take long, the cold from the ice cream helps). It’s crunchy and gooey and creamy and all sorts of so-wrong-yet-so-right.

Whole-nut chocolate, preferably hazlenut. The art of eating this is to take a bite, let the chocolate melt in your mouth while storing the individual nuts in your cheeks like a hamster. When all the chocolate is gone, chow down on the nuts separately. Delicious!

My current fave chocolate at the moment is certainly Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Oreo bar! I treat me and the boyfriend to one every weekend.

My chocolate treat has to be an oh so yummy cadbury’s cream egg, I eat the inside first (with a teaspoon) and leave the chocolate shell till last.
