So, this week is half term, joy oh joy. Seriously, what is it with all the school holidays?? Just when you’ve settled back into work – BAM! – there’s another one.
Anyway, this week, to make up for the fact that I’m spending most of my time working, (by which I mean hiding), in my attic office, on Tuesday I took Belle and a friend from school to London. We began our day with a tour of the CBBC studios, where they got to do all kinds of exciting things like pretend to be Newsround presenters, and sit in chairs that Take That had once sat in.
Although Belle spent the whole tour with an autograph book clutched in her sweaty paw, we didn’t see anyone famous. No Chuckle Brother photo opportunities for us. Outside the studios though, while we were deciding which tube to take, we had better luck.
“Look!” Belle’s friend whispered excitedly, nudging me and jiggling about on the spot as a vaguely familiar looking man strode purposefully past us, “it’s HIM!”
“Who, who!!” Belle joined in frantically.
“Well don’t just stand there then,” I instructed, always one to play it cool, “run after him!”
He very kindly stopped, and after cutting short his phone conversation, (oopps), consented to autographs and a photo.
“Who was that then?” I asked them, once he had left and the flush of their cheeks had subsided somewhat.
“I don’t know!” said Belle’s friend, smiling. I looked to Belle.
“I’ve no idea!” she laughed, clearly not bothered at all.
Given how unphased he seemed by the whole experience, we do think he was a presenter and not just a random person on the street, but can you tell us who he is and what children’s programmes they might have seen him on??

I am sniggering to myself that none of you knew who he was first though. Imagine if he was just a random stranger! Hehe!
I feel a bit bad now – people on twitter are berating me for not recognising him as a top sports presenter. SIlly me….

I did recognise who it was straight away….as a children’s tv presenter and from sporting programmes.
It was nice of him to accommodate the girls though considering they’d had a bad run of luck with meeting anyone ‘famous’.

Yep! Jake Humphrey! Though it would have been funny if it hadn’t been a celeb! Reminds once of when I asked a guy in River Island what other trousers he had & he answered, then told me they were all at home in his wardrobe!!!! Major embarassing moment! I was convinced he was a shop assistant! Still the girls got a photosnap of a celeb! Well done!

OMG! We had a similar experience getting our picture taking with a celebrity but now we don’t know who he is. Can we upload the picture somehow for you to see? Maybe you would know him. He was surrounded by screaming girls and mall security. I’ve cropped the picture down to just his face. Help me identify him!
